About

(Un)Common Public Space Group is a research collective of graduate urban planning students invested in using transdisciplinary, community-based approaches to advancing spatial justice goals in public space . We bring together scholars, practitioners, and community members to both study and activate public spaces throughout Los Angeles. In doing so, our work aims to bridge the university-community divide and enhance the experiences and possibilities of everyday public space users in the city.
