• Claire Nelischer

    Claire is a doctoral candidate in Urban Planning at UCLA and Associate Director of UCLA’s Urban Humanities Initiative. Her research explores the production, design, and experience of urban parks and public spaces, drawing connections between urban design, environmental governance, and spatial justice.

  • Andrés F. Ramirez

    Andrés is a doctoral candidate in Urban Planning at UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs. His research interests include legal geography, Indigenous urbanism, insurgent planning and the role of media in shaping the built environment. Prior to UCLA, Andrés worked as a writer, curator and producer in architecture and urban planning projects.

  • Gus Wendel

    Gus is the Fishman Fellow at the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. His research focuses on municipal governance and planning, public space management and design, and alternative research and teaching methods grounded in the urban humanities. He received his PhD in Urban Planning from UCLA and is a founding member of the Urban Humanities Network.
